Runnymede Shells
These shell-shaped wall sconces run all around the upper part of the wall in the Runnymede Theatre/Chapters Bookstore space and up in the balcony you can get an up-close shot. They are so beautiful that one has to hope they survive the conversion of the building into a drug store. The building has heritage designation so they should be safe.

They add so much to the decor that I'm willing to bet these survive any renovations.
wow, those are just gorgeous!!
They really are beautiful. I agree it would have very sad to lose such exquisite details.
good to hear that!
They are lovely decorations.
Beautiful, almost luminous!
Gorgeous. I wonder if they are the Santiago de Compostela way scallops...
This building just gets better and better...
Glad to hear it's designated heritage. The shells are fabulous!
They look like wall lights but very impressive
So beautiful, it would be a crime not to save these.
I've seen so many real shells like this on Florida's beaches and these are especially fine replicas. Glad to know they will be saved.
I hope you are right.
Reminds me of the 50's movies.
Art Deco do you think Pat? They must survive surely!
They resemble the shells of Camino de Santiago :))
