Old Oak Tree
This old oak tree is located at the top of the stairs leading to Casa Loma just beside where the photographer of my post 2 days ago was set up. In the summer it seems to always be full of birds and even on this day I could hear Cardinals tweeting but was unable to spot them. I really like the convoluted branches of the tree.

That tree really does have some interesting twists and turns.
love the trees in winter! and in spring. and summer. and fall... :)
It really is a beauty Pat, dressed or naked :) Not sure why but I immediately started humming 'tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree' :)
It certainly knows how to throw a few 'shapes' ;-)
Lovely old oak tree. Birds love them for their acorns, an important source of food and the leaves provide shelter. Fine photo.
Love the trees in "skeleton" style.
I love all those twists and turns of the branches.
I learned to appreciate the beauty of the trees in winter when I came to London, and the older ones are always lovely! ;-)
I'm with you; I like very much branches all scrambled up like that, especially with the white snow on the ground and that beautiful blue sky!
Soon will be full of birds singing. Spring will soon, Pat ;-)
My favourite tree (amongst others :-))! That's a fine example, you'd have to show it to us in the spring and/or summer. I love winter trees though. Lovely shot!
Looks like it has had to grow around a few obstacles over the years.
It looks enduring!
Like sculptural art! I'm also betting it looks gorgeous in other seasons:)
It's a beauty.
I love this shot. The branches do look nice when empty.
Old trees have character. I am trying to persuade myself that this is also true of old men!
