A lot of the older areas of toronto have small boulevards between the sidewalk and the road, but in this part of the Yorkville neighbourhood they often are planted with flowers instead of just grass. The garden behind the fence even has roses growing while the neighbour across the street has gone for impatiens. I love the old fence around the closer one!

I do like that sturdy, metal fencing.
The fence is the perfect height to show off the plants.
how very pretty! nice way to line the roads! thanks, redpat!
That's a very summery looking shot, I think autumn has well and truly set in over here now!
lovely greenery
this makes the street so welcoming.
Love these features Pat.. greenery in the city is always so welcome.
Oh, how pretty. Reminds me an area on the outskirts of Paris.
Appears to be a low fence, which nicely complements the plants.
Love the plants against this fence
That's a short fence but I bet it does it's job.
Sure beats grass and dandelions!
I live in Canada so I know Yorkville of Toronto. Very pretty. Have not been for awhile since moved to the country. My adult Kids I am sure go.
What a beautiful area! ;-)
Fences with flowers are always beautiful -- must be a wonderful neighborhood to walk .
Such a pretty way to spruce up the neighborhood.
A lovely touch for the area!

Beautiful.
That's attractive fencing and keeps people from walking into the flowerbeds.
