Bloor Station
This is probably the busiest station in our subway system and it has the widest platforms of any of the stations in order to accommodate the rush hour crowds. This was a mid morning shot taken when the weather was a bit warmer so no huge boots or coats in evidence!
For me, this is an incredible place! It looks warm and lush and inviting. We don't have subways and I am more than just a little jealous!
ReplyDeleteIt certainly looks clean, well lit and spacious!
ReplyDeleteYa, heat wave here too. Gonna be 30°F today.
ReplyDeleteIt is a nice station. The subway system in Toronto is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI think those are the widest platforms I've ever seen in any subway system. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteI have been in that station, but it's been years. The size of the place certainly stands out.
ReplyDeletei like the shiny ceiling!
ReplyDeleteIt is incredibly clean and spacious! This something I wish we had here in Minnesota.
ReplyDeleteI hate public transport in the winter when it's cold! You sweat in there like oily sardines and then freeze outside... :-)
ReplyDeleteReally, right now we're getting ready for a nor'easter and everybody is bundling up, especially those riding the Metro.
ReplyDeleteyour subway looks much better than London one..
ReplyDeleteI remember Bloor Station when the the streetcars were still operating on Bloor Danforth. The change over to the subway was pretty cool. I used it many times on my way to Sam's or A&A's.
ReplyDeleteFirst thing that strikes me is how clean it looks!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so clean and wide open, lots of room.
ReplyDeleteNice looking station.
ReplyDeleteI haven't used the subway in such a long time! The station looks so empty!
ReplyDeleteThe name Bloor brings back memories of my dissolute youth.....

ReplyDeleteIt looks so nice and clean and I wouldn't mind waiting in a station like this!
ReplyDeleteLove the look of this station with the reflections on the ceiling.
ReplyDeleteThey have been wise to build it with a wide passageway, since it will only become busier over time.
ReplyDeleteA great perspective !!
