This piece is actually titled "Obey Eye" and it was painted on Queen St W in 2014 by American artist Shepard Fairey. Fairey is most well known for his "Hope" poster done of Barack Aboma for the 2008 American elections. He also did another mural here at the same time which I will have to hunt down.
Taking part in Monday Murals. Click HERE to see more murals from around the world.

quite an interesting mural
you are under controll all day lovely
And a big mural, very eye-catching :)
Wow! had not seen this one before. Thanks Pat.
Okay...the directive and totalitarian eye! Don't like the message; won't obey the message, but it's interesting. Of course, you may be pulling my leg and this is all satire. Perhaps?
I recognize his style!
O-k-a-y then. :-)
interesting.
It's certainly powerful.
I totally disagree with the statement but I really like the work itself. Glad you mentioned the artist.
Definitely makes an impact. Great design and colors.
Ooooh I like this a lot!
Almost hypnotic, great mural!
That's pretty cool!
Funny one. I like it!
This one I haven't seen before.
That's an eye-grabbing mural. When I first saw it, I thought it was going to be about "Big Brother."
Wow, there's no missing that ...
Powerful mural!
Have a Wonderful Day!
Peace :)
A little bit intimidating I think!
This is a great one! Tom The Backroads Traveller
Big Eye is watching you!
That is my favorite of all the murals you have found so far.
Striking! And disturbing as the artist intended.

ha, that's funny...love the painting!
It is eye catching!
I really like this tongue-in-cheek message. :)
Graphically, it is wonderful, but it is a scary message.
Didn't know Fairey did murals. What an eye grabber--a mural that looks back at you. We can't say we haven't been warned. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
The all-seeing eye :))
