I showed you the exterior of St Francis Roman Catholic Church in May last year (HERE) and I finally got inside during the Doors Open event here in the city a couple of weeks ago. The Church was built in 1915 and has been renovated a few times especially in the 1970s when so many changes took place in Catholic churches everywhere including great changes in the style and placement of the altars. I took this pic from up in the organ loft and will show you a couple of detail shots over the next couple of days.

Beautiful!
Very beautiful. I like the sky blue of the ceiling.
Lovely! That blue is stunning.
kind of like the blue 'sky'. :)
lovely shot - looks to be some nice stained glass in there.
The church I grew up in had hanging lights just like these.
The blue of the ceiling looks like the sky! Tom The Backroads Traveller
This is very beautiful. Our churches around here are very, very plain. Nothing like this.
It's very nice and I see the altar has been pulled away from the wall to the center of the chancel.
The sky blue vaulting is particularly striking.
Even more beautiful than I imagined!
That's a fine looking church. It's all about the light, and the got that right in the Middle Ages.
