The gate itself is gone but this entranceway looks so elegant especially since it is right across the road from Casa Loma. The drive leads up to a large estate which as far as I can find out is now a convent. I'd love to tour the grounds but it is not open to the public.

Happy St Patrick's Day everyone!

lovely! and a convent! :)
It's very nicely constructed & would be lovely to see around.

Quite formal and a bit solemn!
Very distinctive!
Neat stone pillars and a quaint little gate. I bet the grounds are lovely.
I love the stone work!
I am a big fan of stone structures of all kinds. Maybe you could write them a letter to ask if you could hold a "convent-ion" there? That would get you inside! :)
Happy Saint Patrick's Day to you also, Pat.
The fence and the building pictured are both very beautiful.
I see that the Toronto winter is still around...
Have a Happy Day!
Peace :)
Happy St. Pat's, RedPat!
Cloister Baby! That is a massive statement

Oh that is nice! I like the stone work.
Such a nice entrance. Most elegant. Reminds me of home . . .
Thanks for your visits while I was away. Nice to see your comments there.
Looks like it must have been quite a place. Would be interested in knowing more about the history of it.
This does look rather elegant.
Very solid!
;-)
Still elegant even now Pat, how interesting to see what the estate would have looked like back in the day..
It's rather imposing!
Very stately and it would be quite interesting to tour if one could!
