This is St David's Anglican Church which is found in the west end of the city. It was probably built in the 1950s judging by its style but it seems that the church is joining with 3 other Anglican churches to build one new church and selling off the old ones to pay for the new one. That means that this little beauty will be disappearing but many churches are having problems with shrinking congregations so it is not surprising.

A fine building indeed. And that's life, old things make way for new. Have a good week!
Thanks for showing this little midcentury gem
This beautiful little church may be sold to another church congregation. If so, the building will survive as many have.
That's a perfect title for this post! It is pretty.
A beautiful building.
shrinking congregations often means condos
It does look like the fifties. Must be nice and bright, love that stained glass cross! Sad in a way but c'est la vie !
Postcard perfect. First time I have seen this meme too. Will try and give it a go some time.
It certainly does evoke that era.
Quite modern for the times...
Nice one Pat!
lovely simple church
Has that 50s look, you're right.
Oh no! Too bad it can't be used for something else. It is lovely.
i can't tell if that just clear glass or stain glass? love it either way. ( :
To tear this down would be a travesty. Perhaps it will be repurposed. As a bar or restaurant or a beauty salon.
Hopefully, this building will be saved. It is a beauty.
Bit of a shame Pat, let's hope they put this old church to good use.. artistic endeavours hopefully!
Looks very 50's witha small spire
Is is a gem indeed!
A beautiful little church !
I hope this church won't get destroyed. It's rather cute!
I wonder what they will do with the building after the congregation has vacated?
OOPS....I forgot my churches yesterday. Beth is going to fuss at me :-( This is a really sweet one, but it needs one of our traditional Anglican red doors. I am so silly about the red doors. Maybe in Canada and the United Kingdom you do not have the red doors like here in the US. The snow that is left on the ground really adds to the photo.
So you think iIt will be sold as a tear-down? That is a shame. Not surprising though, as you say.
