Coach House

This building was the coach house for a funeral parlour and was built in 1910 and has heritage protection which means that the exterior can not be changed without a long approval procedure. It is has been in the midst of a conversion to a super residence for the last few years. It even has its own parking spot behind that fence - a rare thing downtown!

I think I see more construction work on the roof top. It has character!

I had a sense of deja vu when I saw this photo. This looks so much like the fire station that was a few blocks from my house when I was growing up in Illinois.

Indeed cool, at first glance it reminded me of a firehouse.

I ike it and would be interested in seeing it when converted to a super residence (at probably a super price, too!). It's a rather grand old building for sure!

That is a stylish old building. It could remodeled into a great house.

It is beautiful architecture. It does also remind me of a former fire station here.

Hello, I would much rather see these old buildings saved and re-cycled into good use. I like the exterior, very nice!

Enjoy your day and the weekend ahead!

I absolutely love these old world conversions. The apartments are usually unique and stunning and quite unaffordable by most standards. But it is fun to dream!

It has a lot of potential, RedPat. I would want to change the front door . . . wonder if that would be permitted.

That is a cool old building. I love that it's preserved the way it should be and not modernized. Nice looking fencing.

I like older buildings like this. Much more interesting than many new ones.
