"I'm Sure I Put Something Here!"

This black squirrel was spending a lot of time digging around in the snow looking for what must have been a tasty morsel but I never did see him find anything. He must have things buried everywhere but has no memory of what is where!

  8. What a great shot! The black agains the white is wonderful. At first I thought it was a cat--those squirrels are big. I don't think he lost anything, he's just digging up a morsel for dinner!

  16. I read one time that squirrels' forgotten stashes are responsible for a lot of flower and tree growth. Apparently they forget a lot of them even when the ground isn't covered with snow. This picture is a great winter contrast!
