This is Barn 5 at the Wychwood Barns which is an old streetcar facility that has been turned into an arts, community, and environment centre. There were 5 barns attached along their length with all of them having different uses now ranging from artists studios to greenhouses and theatres. This one was constructed in 1921 and it has had its roof removed leaving the steel structure along the sides to create a wonderful arcade which is used for a farmers market on Saturdays, open air events, and also has some small community gardens along its length. And the remaining upper structures provide nice spots for pigeons to rest as you can see.

A wonderful place to visit I'm sure, nice of you to share. Greetings!
...neat reuse.
How nice it must be to live in a city that isn't totally run by Ayn Rand capitalists! It's a great idea and looks to be the place to be on a weekend.
What a great place, and interesting variation on the meme today, P!
Hello, what a neat way to recycle the facility. The artist and the community must love it there, as do the pigeons. The pigeons have a great perch spot. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!
That is a good use for the structure.
What an interesting assortment of uses for these buildings. That is great to see. When I was working in San Francisco I was introduced to an old Naval base that was turned into artist's studios. They had an open studios day so I went with some co-workers to check it out. I love seeing places salvaged and used for a whole new purpose.
How wonderful show us more please!
Glad to see the old TTC car house is still here severing the community.
Very nice, a wonderful reuse of the place to serve the community.
Nice way to preserve and re-purpose the old train station!
Nice share, Pat.
Have a Happy Weekend!!
Peace :)
Clearly the pigeons know this is a cool place to be!
A wonderful way to use old buildings!
Next Summer you must show us photos from the Farmers' Market there
Have a great week-end!
Nice to see such creativity at work.
Nice that it is in use again. I like that.
Neat! I like the history and the incorporating it into something useful.
