Reducing Plastic Bottle Use
I've seen more and more of these water fountains popping up round the city lately. They are used to fill up your own water bottle rather than buying a bottle of water. The best ones have a drinking fountain attached too unlike this one. It is a great movement to help reduce the number of plastic bottles being produced and discarded.

Nice... what could they think of next?
...at the Y they have one of those fountains.
I've not seen these here yet, but they look to me to be a great idea. My only question is where the water comes from.
It really is a good idea. I think we have them around and about too. Next to stop has to be plastic bags.. I read that from next year there won't be plastic bags available in our shops, about time!
We have them here as well, particularly on campuses.
Seeing this makes me happy! We have them here too and it's a great idea.
I haven't seen any of these around town but, this did remind me that when I took that train ride to the Grand Canyon in July, they told us to bring a bottle of water with us because they did not sell bottled water at the canyon. They had filling stations similar to this but you could not buy a fresh bottle. Hopefully, this will catch on. I know people who only drink bottled water.
Excellent idea!!!
Great idea, I haven't seen them though. I bought a 40oz stainless steel water bottle years ago and use it everyday. It keeps the water cold so everywhere I walk, the water bottle has a place in my backpack.
I have noticed these recently & they're sure to help. Beats trying to fill a water bottle from a drinking fountain!
Hello, what a great idea. Cutting out the plastic bottles is a good thing.
Have a happy weekend!
We have them everywhere too lately, but I favor the ones that also have a drinking spigot too!
I don't think I've seen one yet, which is strange because we could sure use them here in the DMV.
My library has one just like it
Great idea. Must we do here also.
These could be used quite effectively at airports, but, I suppose, the vendors would not like that and would then lobby against their installation.
I have seen a few, too. It is becoming embarrassing how many bottles of water come into our possession. At least they can be recycled. Refilling is better.
These are great. My son's new elementary school has one.
Ojalá en esta vetusta Europa hicieran lo mismo
Es una gran idea que, seguramente, a los fabricantes de
botellas no guste nada ni mucho
