The October theme for the City Daily Photo Blog community is "Change" and at this time of year that means the changing if the colour of leaves. This Japanese Maple was showing the most change I have seen so far this autumn and it was glowing in the sunlight when I went by. I wonder if the colour change will be later this year since we have had such a warm summer and fall.

Autumn... my favorite season.
I like it hot all year, but it's nice to see your pictures.
Maples always seem to change first and introduce autumn with a blaze of colour!!
Hello, the leaves are changing pretty colors. Beautiful tree! Happy October!
Happy Monday, enjoy your day and new week!
What a gorgeous burst of color! After I said on my post that we still had triple digit temperatures, it dropped 30 degrees today. The tail end of a hurricane has landed on us and we are supposed to have rain for the next three days.
Bright colours! It seems maples often are the first to start showing.
This is the time of year for those amazing color changes. Good shot.
Beautiful colors;-)
Autumn's the best season to see changes. Beautiful colours in these leaves, Pat.
I do think we're ahead of you in the Autumn department, but this is a lovely shot. Great composition and the light's perfect.
Thought I might have just seen the faintest signs of autumn this afternoon here, but I must have been mistaken. It's still summer. :-)
Good photo!
There is nothing quite like maples for putting on a great autumn display. We used to have a Canadian sugar maple in our garden which was the best ... sadly it was old and reached the end of it's life.
Yes its that time of the year again.
Very nice tableau
Such beautiful colours, I love this time of year.
All the best Jan
So nice to see some green! Our trees are almost bare now and snow covered.
Gorgeous shot Pat, it's like a flame amidst the green! Perfect for the theme ✨
