Blinky the police car is used by our police force to visit schools and talk about safety. The car itself used to talk but I'm not sure if it still does. This pic was taken on Bloor St as the car waited to be part of the Santa Claus Parade and you can see Gus The Other Barber in the background. This barber shop has been on Bloor St for over 50 years now although it has slowly moved along the street a few blocks as rents go up. Its devoted clients just follow to the next location.

...now this sure is fun.
Fun, You can also drive this car?
This is cool!
Okay, that is the most unusual looking police car I've ever seen but, I bet it keeps the kids attention. I bet my dad would have loved going to that barber shop. He was always on the look out for an "old style" barber.
That is one weird sight!
This is delightful and I'll bet the kiddos love it! Good ol' barber shops are hard to find. My barber has been in business at the same location for about 40 years but one of his hands shakes so badly I doubt he'll be able to continue much longer.
Blinky is wonderfully funny. I'm sure it hasn't been driven since it became Blinky.
I was wondering if Blinky can be driven but I'd guess not. And I'm happy that Gus' clientele follows him.
Excellent signs. Love ole blinky

cool yet weird!
I remember when all the cop cars were the same Plymouth Fury - and yellow. I didn't realize Blinky was still around!
I like the idea of a long-time service shop like a barber slinking down the street for five decades, following the lower rents. There is something grand, something sad and something uplifting about it.
I wonder why he is 'the other' barber? Glad his shop has kept going.
