"Everyone Off The Ice"
This pic was taken during the Christmas holidays at the rink at Christie Pits Park. Most of the skating rinks here have special hours for hockey and then other hours for pleasure skating. The hockey players had finished their time but the last few players were a bit reluctant to leave but finally did and then a large crowd of little kiddies with their new Christmas skates on took to the ice!
Great sky above that rink.
ReplyDeleteIce skating always looks so much fun Pat, I've never tried it but loved to roller skate ✨
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of glad to read Grace's comment above because now I know I'm not the only one who has never ice skated. I do enjoy watching other people gliding along on the ice.
ReplyDeleteKeeps the the kids busy and out of trouble.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo!
ReplyDeleteWe have roller skate rinks here, though the arena in Tupelo sometimes floods and freezes their floor for special events like 'Disney on Ice'
Have a wonderful day!
...hockey is a Canadian way of life!
ReplyDeleteTerrific shot!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to that park.
Strikes me as an iconic image
ReplyDeleteEveryone gets their turn, right?

ReplyDeleteIce skating is fun, for hockey players and also for kids
ReplyDeleteOnly thing I know that’s comparable at all is when lifeguards clear the general swim-time pool for classes (or vice versa).
