The November theme for the City Daily Photo Blog community is brown which made me realize that I don't shoot many pics of brown things. I had taken a pic of the lovely wooden phone at Spadina House during the Doors Open event. The phone was in a tiny space like a closet with just the one light, a stool and a phone book. My, how phones have changed!

A beautiful photo!
Phones are like cars in that their inventers would be astonished to see what has come from their original ideas!
Have a wonderful weekend!
My great grandmother had a similar phone in her house.
...vintage brown.
Lovely antique telephones in a perfect color.
I love old stuff like this!
I haven't seen an old phone like that for a long time.
It is truly amazing how much phones have changed even in my lifetime. Phones like this were before me but, probably not that far. Now we carry them with us and can watch videos on them. What a huge change.
Interesting phone;-)
Nice meme play, P
Totally!! Oh How Things Have Changed
Cheers
Can't fit that in your pocket. :)
Great photo with some awesome light and it's brown.
Perfect, Pat!
My parents had one similar to the one on the right at home. Not used, of course, just decor.
Gosh they certainly have Pat, that's quite a contraption, but I think it makes for a much more beautiful image, as shown here, than a silly wee mobile phone 😁
Lovely take for the theme day.
Yes, brown doesn't usually draw my camera either. This is a very interesting choice.
Wow this an oldie. Made me think of part lines. ☎
And no more phone books.
I wonder if the book and the phone are of the same time but a wonderful combination it is.
Wow !
Interesting choice for the theme, Pat !
It is lovely, RedPat. Even the book is kind of brown.
