This is one of the gargoyles found over the entrance in yesterday's pic of Central Technical school. The stonemasons were given free reign to design the gargoyles and this one they chose to do as a scholar. Suitable for the school.
A very cute gargoyle. I wonder if anybody wears a mortar-board and gown these days. I remember one or two of the oldest teachers wore them when I started secondary school back in 1964, but they'd all retired by the time I left seven years later.

...gargoyles were once a fixture of building's architecture.
I like his little mortarboard.
Super Cool - Good Eye
Cheers
He doesn't look very happy. I am sure the students have already named him for their least favorite teacher!
An older student...
Oh this is cute and quite a scholar I would imagine!
That is a fine looking bit of sculpture. Schools should have scholars and academic freedom to do their research.
He looks like he's scheming.
I don't think he looks happy tho LOL :)
Have a good day
Well, it's definitely NOT an ebook he's holding.
A cute little scholar. He looks uncomfortable in that position.
Bonito diseño eligieron. Gracias Pat.
Cuídate.
Desde casa te mando este abrazo 🙅
That's one of the best gargoyles I've seen. Ideal for his setting.
Suitable ideed! A "cute!" one, too!
The stonemasons have hidden talents. This gargoyle is one of them.
I vote for more free reign for construction professionals. Great cute gargoyle.
They are brilliant and so perfect for this spot Pat 💜
I like this. There are similar ones at Trinity College up in Hartford.
