Teetering
This is a rear view of the wrapped buildings which I showed you yesterday. Here you can see how they are teetering right on the edge of the excavation for the parking garages of the new buildings. The hole is about three stories deep. The old buildings will be restored and incorporated into the new complex, some as stores and others as community spaces. Construction continues but it will be years until this is finished.
...I hope that they have a good engineer.
ReplyDeleteIt is truly impressive that they are working around these building in order to preserve them. I feel like here they would just knock them down.
ReplyDeleteIt's good they are preserving them.
ReplyDeleteWow, they are teetering. I hope all goes well! Happy Friday, enjoy your day and weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat looks a tricky operation! I'm always in awe of the skill of those who use those huge cranes without knocking anything over.
ReplyDeleteThat's a massive undertaking.
ReplyDeleteA major project. At least the old buildings will be restored and find a new life. Construction is always interesting to see.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bad renovation in progress! Does anyone live in the houses?
ReplyDeleteThat is a major project, even more so with the effort to incorporate the existing structures.
ReplyDeleteThat looks hugely complicated but it's great that they are conserving some of the old and incorporating it into the new development.
ReplyDeleteYou've got to hope an engineer working on this is awake, alert, and knows his or her stuff. Three stories beneath existing structures is a lot of calculations.
ReplyDeleteGosh that's a pretty impressive sight Pat, good thing they know what they are doing!
ReplyDeleteThat'll be a long project.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's some major project! Can't wait to see the final outcome!
ReplyDeleteWill be neat to see the final project!
