Reinforcement

While walking along in the financial district I spotted this heavy duty structure which has been erected up against the facade of a building which has had the rest of it torn down. I assume another condo is under construction and the facade of the old building will be incorporated into the new one. That is certainly a lot of steel that they used!

Huge high support structure.

Wow, they have seriously braced that wall. It will be interesting to see how it is used in the new building.

Thanks for explaining the reason for this steel structure. Perhaps in the future you can show the completed building with the old facade.

I am always glad and amazed by how facades are saved.

Hello,

I assume the condos are popular places to live. That is a lot of steel holding up the old facade. Take care, enjoy your day!

Wow! We do that a lot here also Pat but I've not seen it actually in construction like this ✨

If I ever get to Toronto again I will never recognize it.

It's impressive what the construction industry can do these days.

That would have to be the case.

I don't think I've ever seen something like this being done. Boy, that must give the builders fits.

Impressive indeed - and I love it, good on them preserving the old beauty.
