St Lawrence Market South Building

The St Lawrence Market has been a part of downtown for well over a century. This is the south building which was finished in1902 and contains part of an original 1845 building. It is a public market which houses over 120 food vendors and restaurants as well as a gallery on the second floor. Like everything else it has been affected by covid restrictions but will soon be back to normal I hope.

That is a place I'd love to visit one day...when it's back to normal business.

The architecture looks oddly reminiscent of a railway building to me. I love having a look around market stalls though.

...I've seen a number of public markets, but one is on a league of its own. Thanks for sharing this lovely piece of history.

A place I would certainly love to visit if I was near.

Looks like it might have been an old factory building.

It is a great looking building. I hope it can get back to normal shortly. Wish we had access to places like this.

I've never been there. I think I've seen it at a distance.
