Scattered among the larger old buildings in the Liberty Village neighbourhood you can often find quirky little structures like this one. It is actually attached to a much larger place behind it and they are both in danger of being replaced by condos. I love the whimsy of this one in particular the cute signs on the stairs. This view has been used in several movie scenes.

I adore this. Sweet creativity at its best.
If anything modern does replace it, I'm sure it will have far less character.
Ha. Nice.
That is creative.
Too cute! I haven't been to Liberty Village at all this year!
That should bring a smile on everybody’s faces.
This is fun. It also looks well loved tucked away in a quiet corner.
...soon all of the whimsey will disappear, thanks for capturing some while it still exists.
That is a funny sign on those stairs. Great find. What films have used this location?
I like it! Hopefully it will stick around.
Love the stairs. We usually pull the petals off daisies to answer that question!
Lovely!
Nice to see Toronto's beautiful places in your blog
Lovely!
Very interesting.
The lower door looks like a miniature. I like that the last top step ends positively.
Good grief! Wonder what the story BEHIND that is?
This is why Toronto is a great City!
I LOVE ❤ those stairs.
Thats a stair you don't want to fall off.
Cute, the red color really stands out.
Take care, enjoy your day!
This is great! I love those steps!
Interesting. Were the steps painted for a movie?
