This black squirrel was rummaging madly through the leaves as if it had last something. Probably looking for a treasure that someone else had hidden. The squirrels are all looking a bit chubby and have beautiful coats of fur as they prepare for the winter ahead.

It could be that it's buried a nut or some other food around here but is confused by the leaves covering everything. Hope it's soon found.
I have seen squirrels do that too. I wonder if it had buried something to eat later, and then after all the leaves fell and covered the spot, it has harder to find.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Hello,
Poor thing must have dropped it's food in all those leaves. The Black squirrel is pretty, we only see the gray squirrels here. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a happy weekend! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
I always feel better when I see them scurry about.
Squirrels store their food by burying it in scattered caches only to dig up later when food is scarce.
That is truly a gorgeous squirrel! WOW! It's rare for us to see anything here but the small gray squirrel. Happy weekend!
Oh! Beautiful towards the golden leaves.
Looking for that special morsel of food.
Lovely squirrels;-)
That's a very cute picture of the squirrel.
Squirrels are fun to watch as the rummage around, especially your black squirrels.
Hope he found what he’s searching. Nice pic!
