One of my followers loves seeing the ducks and I haven't shown any for a while so here they are. These two females were just leisurely floating around the pond at James Gardens like ladies with no worries in the world. They could see that I had no food for them so paid no attention to me.

Their work of raising ducklings is over for the season, so they can rest and enjoy themselves. Perhaps they will fly south for the winter. These are smart ducks.

We almost take mallards for granted, don't we? They are so ubiquitous. A closer look reveals the beauty in their subtle markings.
