Mother Goose

It will be hard to see her but half way up this tree in the crotch of the 2 branches there is a Canada Goose sitting on a nest of little ones. She is well hidden and her partner is standing guard near the tree! I've never seen one nesting in a tree before.

  1. Nice observation and a photo, Pat!
I am also reminded of the movie with Cary Grant in it, with a similar title - Father Goose :)
It is quite a fun movie from the VHS days.
    Have a Happy Day!!
    Peace :)

  3. Viewing the photo on a tablet, I will have to take your word for it. Old trees with hollows are so important to wildlife.

  4. I've never seen anything like that before, either. I guess we just have to chalk it up to the superior brain power of Canadian geese! :)

  9. A good eye on your part, and great camouflage by the goose.

  12. Those ducklings will have a giant first step to leave the nest. Hope they will be alright.
