Another 60s Church

This church, All Saints Roman Catholic Church, built in 1967, has to be one of the more unusual looking churches that I have seen. At first I though that it might be a hexagon but walking around the outside you can see that it is irregular in shape - not sure how many sides it has. I would love to see the inside but once again it was locked! It feels as if it might be partly below grade but I am not sure.

It does look unusual indeed, adds to its uniqueness. Thanks for sharing, greetings!

A very interesting design. We seem to have a lot of these oddly shaped and designed churches around here.

I is not the Catholic churches that I am accustom to see.
PS: I suggest a little praying to get those doors unlocked. ;)

Does look very low-rise!

does look rather spreading out than rising up - which may indeed be a message.

Like the look of the copper roof. The 1960s is not noted for its great architectural styles, but his is a good looking building.

An unusual church design, for sure, but interesting non the less.

It does not look like the usual churches I am used to seeing. Looks quite modern.

The 1960s were a low point in architecture, weren't they?

My town has an All Saints Catholic Church as well, and it has a different design to it as well!

Enjoying your conjectures as much as your nice photo

I have to say, the outside doesn't appeal to me. But I bet it's really nice inside.

A flat roof like that doesn't sound very wise for a climate that gets snow. I bet someone spends a lot of winter hours shovelling snow off the roof.

Don't know why but most 1960's catholic churches are ugly, the designers must have had no imagination to draw them. Sunday morning it should be open for Mass

The 60s really weren't a good time for architecture... this one looks like a bunker!
