Inuksuk At Sunnybrook
This stone assemblage is an Inuksuk which is a human-made landmark used by the Inuit to mark trails etc in the Arctic. These ones that have a rather human resemblance have become quite a common Canadian symbol and can be found all over the country. This one is outside the Vets Centre at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Our snow is all gone now.

that's just awesome.
Love this!
I absolutely love this!
I adore Inukshuk. I only have a Québec bought key ring though! :-)
No snow mid-March: isn't that a bit scary?
Thanks for teaching me that!
I always like seeing these.
It's intriguing. And I can see the "human" aspect to it. Nice part of Canadian identity.
Looks like it's saying, "That a-way." :-)
I like this very much.
How interesting. I don't think I've ever seen one before!
Great marking technique!
Have a Happy Day, Pat!!
Peace :)
They are still seen by many sites. Good Monday ;)
He/She looks welcoming with the open arms!
I always like seeing these, too.
Lovely sculpture!
Is it an Inuksuk or a Inunnguag?!
Aren't they an amazing ancient way to communicate Pat. So precisely balanced!
