I showed you a couple of interior pics of Hart House at U of Toronto last week and thought I would show you a couple more pics, this time of the exterior. The beaux arts Gothic Revival building was constructed in 1919 as a student activity centre (which meant only men until 1972) and continues to be until this day. This is the west entrance to Hart House which leads to some common rooms and out into the centre quadrangle. I'll show a bit of the quadrangle tomorrow.

What a fabulous building this is both inside and out. It's so castle-like.
That's a tres impressive entranced to Hart House Pat, wonderful that Hart House is still being used for the purpose it was built. Females included.. I should think so 😀
Beautiful architecture! That spot is quite familiar, as I've passed through there from time to time.
Beautiful ! Looks like a castle !
Very collegiate
Beautiful building! Have a nice evening
I do like your photo. They seem to be late in admitting women to the activity center, but at least they eventually caught up with reality. Gothic Revival does make an impressive showing even if it refers to an era lacking in equality.
What an immpressive looking building. Nice composition, Pat.
Great architecture.
It looks like it should have a drawbridge...(which it did, figuratively, until 1972.) It's held up well since 1919.
Hello,
What an impressive entrance. Just beautiful! Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
Excellent photo of a gorgeous edifice. Do you see the face?
Bellísima ventana y fachada. El verde la adorna bien.
