The Last For Now

This is the last of the murals painted on the Old Mill subway station supports by First Nation artist Philip Cote, at least for a week or two. The are a couple I couldn't get to because of muddy and wet conditions but I may try to get back there soon with some rubber boots to get them. This seems like a fine place to end off for now - right by the parking lot for walkers using the trail along the Humber River.

The use of the blue background makes these really stand out and gives them a sort of dimension. I like the fish in this one.

There's definitely a theme running through this series of murals Pat, would love to know what it is, they are pretty incroyable!

It really is quite vivid, and very much in keeping with First Nation artistic styles.

That's an interesting photo, juxtaposing the automobiles with the indigenous painting.

Very pretty and colourful. I love the deep blue, it allows the other images to stand out in the mural. Very talented artist!

I love the blue background. You managed to get a wonderful shot even with the cars parked in front of it!
