Contrast

I was struck by the contrast between the front of these three row houses and the corrugated metal on the side along the laneway. Many of the old homes from that era had brick fronts and then some type of faux brick along the sides which usually has to be replaced with something non flammable when renovations are done which may explain the metal. I rather like the contrast.

That is a very striking contrast. It's almost like something was removed from that end of the building.

Exciting solution.

That is odd.

The metal almost looks like wood laminate in your photo. I'd not have identified it as corrugated metal. It's an interesting contrast, unexpected.

Interesting!
I wonder why there are not more windows on the new side. There might not be an interesting view, but I would miss having some natural light coming in.
Have a wonderful week!

It does look great indeed - just not enough windows for my liking.

Much better than hi-rise condo.

Wonder if there is room for some isolation behind those cladding plates.

Hello,

I am not so sure about the metal side, they could use more windows.
Happy Monday, wishing you a great day and a happy new week!

You are correct, the contrast is rather jarring. Good catch.

I thought at first it was some kind of wood. An interesting contrast for sure.
