This shot was taken on one of my roams about the residential areas of the Yorkville & Annex neighbourhoods. I love these old row house which I guess we would call townhouses today. They were built during the 1890s and you can just make out the oval signs beside the doors which tell us they have heritage designation as do all of the other houses along this street.

Very distinctive.
Fine looking row houses from the late 19th Century. One reason they were built so close to each other is because the major transportation of the day was walking, and this shortened the distance people had to travel.
Lots of character in the row houses. They still look grand today.
