A Winter Snack

These Goldfinches were enjoying a bite to eat on a cold winter afternoon. It is always a sign of spring for me when they start to get their yellow feathers back which may be a bit later than usual this year since it has been so cold.

Well done Pat. Feeding the birds over the winter helps them survive.

Such pretty birds. I only see them at the Desert Botanical Garden. I never see them around town.

Ours get dull colors here too and we are starting to see more yellow. Love having a nice finch feeder to watch the birds!

That's a lot of birds on one feeder! I saw a little flock the other day, those bright feathers really give them away.

Fabulous photo of the birds. I have a bird feeder and seldom see more than one or two birds at a time. Love the photo.
