This Red-tailed Hawk sat up in this tree for at least 20 minutes and refused to turn around for a portrait. I think it was busy watching for squirrels in a nearby field and had no time for me. It was a coolish day so he was looking rather puffed up.

Hello :=)
As I have never seen a Red-tailed Hawk from the back it gives me the chance of seeing the detail in the feathers. :=)
Enjoy your weekend
All the best Sonjia.
I agree, don't bother me, the hawks are cool birds. Always great to see them.

Great capture of the hawk
...you are lucky, when I approach a hawk, it flies off!
I wonder if the hawk got its meal. Very nicely patterned feathers.
It’s hard to get inside the head of a bird and figure out what it has in mind. I suspect they are not particularly interested in humans.
best, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Even if you didn't get his best side, it is still and fine photo.
Some people are like that when they see a camera.
I love hawks.
They do glare, don't they?!
Maybe it was better it was looking in the other direction?!
En buena siesta estaba. Genial.
Buenna semana Pat.
Un abrazo.
They love to hunt!
