In the 1950s and 60s 1050 Chum was the place on the radio to hear all of the great music of the time. All of Toronto's young people were tuned into it. Well, times have changed and it is now an all sport and talk station.

Same here, RedPat! Stupid talk! And Ingo has that radio on in his car, it´s a pain... Glad I seldom join ;-)
Let´s put on some fun music on our PCs (or wherever)...
Yes, now everyone hears the latest music on the internet, where anything goes!
Oh yes, it was the IN station. And CFRB for older folk and news.
We had a a couple of radio stations that reinvented themselves from pop music to...nothing really. I think their frequencies were taken over by some company.
Chum was a brand of dog food here.
Pretty mind-numbing program!
This is a great sign, and yes, times do change. Music was important in the 1950s, and especially so in the exciting times of the 1960s. But unfortunately not so much now. I can see why this radio station has changed its focus to sports. Who listens to radio any more?
I can't stand talk back radio, as we call it here, but my elderly father loves it.
That is so sad! I used to listen to it all the time.
I would have enjoyed the old CHUM better!!!
The sign is effective
Hello,
I never listen to talk radio. I do like the signs. Take care, have a happy Thursday!
