Looks like fun.
I don't think I've ever seen birds playing in sand. I wonder why they do that.
I don't when I last saw this activity.
They love it! I can see myself splashing around in a puddle....a sand bath...not so much! heehee!
Maybe it's a new movement, playing in the sand. :)
The group of sparrows must have found some crumbs of food.

When I was a child, we had chickens, and I remember them taking dust baths. I think it helps them get rid of mites and other parasites.
How cute is that.
I've seen other bird species doing the same. I once heard it was to get rid of mites.
They are lovely.
In our garden exactly the same and that at the other side of the ocean.
They certainly do enjoy their surroundings and gathering together.

A wonderful sighting, which I have only seen once. I believe they are cleaning their feathers of mites.

I saw a thrasher doing this. It was rather amazing.
