A pancake breakfast is always a nice treat but this one was extra special because friends had gifted us some special maple syrup from Quebec. That jar on the left contains maple syrup that has been aged in bourbon barrels. It was so delicious and we have a couple more varieties to try yet!

Very different from Swedish pancakes. But the photo makes me hungry.
My mother tended to make pancakes plate sized.
Oh my, that sounds so delicious. I bought a bottle of maple syrup aged in bourbon barrels last year and it was gone in a short period of time. Yum!
...Quebec is the largest producer of maple syrup!
Oooooo, gourmet maple syrup! Enjoy!
A special breakfast with blueberry (?) pancakes. You do live in a place that should have outstanding maple syrup. I've never had syrup aged in bourbon barrels, but I like the idea.
That is a happy treat! And I love the fins on the yellow taxi! Thanks so much for these nice pictures
Delicious!
A wonderfully indulgent breakfast, and the bourbon-barrel-aged maple syrup from Quebec must have added a truly special depth of flavour to an already comforting treat.
Before I was on my own, we had pancakes at times for brunch and one thing we did not compromise on was high quality Canadian maple syrup.
Lucky you! I did not know that the syrup matures as well
The pancakes look delicious and the syrup sounds yummy!
Take care, have a great day!
Looks really good and tasty.
