Catching Some Sun

I watched this squirrel for well over an hour and for a while thought that it was dead and had somehow caught its neck on something and was strangled. It was motionless and the tail was blowing in the breeze. I made some noise and there was no reaction but then a noisy garage door opened and the little creature finally moved to see what the noise was. It was a cool day but the sun was strong so I think it was doing a bit of sunbathing. After a while the squirrel stretched and left for home.

Fun animals. Sitting on the veranda earler today I could hear a squirrel, probably upset that there were no bird food available.

This squirrel just found a comfortable place for a nap. I'm sure the sunshine was warm making him sleepy.

The tail looks huge from this angle.

I bet that black fur soaks of the heat of the sun pretty well. I know my black jeans do.

Hello :)
The squirrel fell asleep and no doubt found a comfy place to nod off. It really does seem to have a very long tail, and I like it.
Enjoy your weekend and take care.
All the best
Sonjia.
