Train Entering the Station

While driving in traffic in the trendy West Queen West area of Toronto, I happened to look down a side street and there was this striking mural of a subway train painted on the side of a house. Naturally I had to get a pic, so did some winding around in one-way streets to come out in front of the house and get this shot. There is an on-going debate here about what is art and what is graffiti - I think this is art! Any opinions?

Great shot RedPat! I love street art!
In Brazil, we use the term graffiti ("grafite") only for artistic works, we have another word for vandalism acts "pichação".
There are two very talented brazilian artists that became famous with graffiti works "Os Gêmeos" (the twins).

It's very artistic. I wonder why it's there.

I have mouthed off here about graffiti, but I count this as art and think it is good. I like your first commenter's distinction between artistic works and vandalism.

If the owner gave permission, it's art.
