Diversity In The City
This wonderful sign marks the entrance to the "Native Child & Family Services Of Toronto" building on College St. This agency provides multi-faceted social & culture based services for aboriginal children and families and is housed in a fabulous building which I plan on touring during Doors Open Toronto at the end of the month. I showed you the rear entrance here. I love the graphics of this sign and of course the colours! You can also see, off to the right, part of one of the banners that run along the front of the building, each with appropriate symbols.

That is a beautiful sign; I love the bright red color and the feathers hanging down. I like how the native family is juxtaposed in front of the cityscape.

It is a beautiful sign but more importantly, it's a beautiful place because it houses a mission of providing assistance to people in need.

I can't wait for the Doors Open. This looks like a really cool place. I love the colors of the sign and the feathers. Reminds me a bit of the state flag of Oklahoma, my home and native land. :)

Now this is interesting Pat, you call your Native Americans aboriginals also, for some reason I thought that was unique to Australia?
I also love the graphics of the sign but I am somehow surprised Native people have different services, I had no idea.

What a wonderful agency serving these special families. It seems like our government wants to do away with services for women and children which is so upsetting to me. I love the logo. It is beautiful. genie
