This McDonald's float from the Santa Claus Parade is a replica of the float they had in the 1951 parade and according to the TV broadcast of the parade the animals are the same ones that were on the original float. They had been in storage for all that time! I really liked the little pigs.
Correction: I have done more research and apparently the float was from 1951 but it wasn't sponsored by McDonald's then. Thanks Paul!

I think your TV broadcaster better do a re-take as Macdonald's didn't have a store in Canada till 1967, and that was in BC. Even the legendary Ray Kroc hadn't heard of Macdonalds till 1954. So 1951 sounds a tad early. Nice float though. :D
(Am I being a pedant? ... probably!)
shoulda had someone grilling of the float!!
What a kick - fun animals, that little calf is adorable.
That is very cute!!!
"The farmer in the dell"! I can remember singing that as a little child! Great fun. Love this float. Hard to believe those animals have been around that long!
The animals are all looking well for 61 years of age!
Hmmmm somehow this does not make me want to rush out for a burger! Love the legs on that calf.
like the floats, but not so much all the corporate sponsoring on them.
That's a fun one.
That is quite a history for these little farm animals. It's fun that McDonald's recreated the "Farmer in the Dell".
A really colourful group of floats so far Pat, gingerbread and snowman on the last was a happy sight.
I love the old timey feel of the float. Way cool!
Another good float!
