House Sparrow

My parents have several bird feeders in their yard and the whole area teems with birds especially the little House Sparrows. This little guy was being coy as he waited for his turn on one of the feeders!
I am still very busy tending for my parents who both have the flu but will try to keep posting.

Had 23 on the ground under my feeders yesterday. Picking up the untidy dropping of the sloppy chick-a-dees.

Such a sweet little creature Pat. I hope Mum and Dad feel better soon, this recurring flu is such so awful. Take care yourself.

I hope your parents recover quickly. The flu has been tough this year.

Winter can be tough on the birds and feeders really help. Hope the patients are feeling better soon.

These little guys are so ubiquitous that we barely notice their beauty.
Hope you parents recover soon. Nasty business, this flu.

Oh, very coy, isn't he? Just adorable.
I hope your parents are well soon. I've heard this year's flu is particularly nasty, and I couldn't get a flu shot until last week due to bronchial and chest infections. Seems for us in the older generation, if it isn't one thing, it's another.
Hope they're feeling better.

He does look very bashful, and a little chilly!

I rather like coming across a tree or a bush full of birds like that, chattering away... until they notice they're being watched.
