Fence In The City

This fence looks like one you might find out in the countryside but it is actually to be found near Spadina & St Clair, just north of Casa Loma, and the tall condos give a hint of its urban location. The hill is part of the containment for one of the main water reservoirs in the city and I think the fence was installed to protect the natural regeneration that is being encouraged there. The hill was a busy place last week with many birds poking about among the grasses. On the flat top of the reservoir there are tennis courts, a dog park,  a running/walking path, and just nice open space.

What an unusual find. Still, it fits in with its surroundings very comfortably!

A busy place, indeed, with at least one photographer also poking around. ;-)

Surprising rustic for a city fence but I love it.

I enjoy to find these tucked away little spots, away from the city and or buildings surrounding it! Lovely!

Good shot! I have seen fences like this here as well... rather different from the usual steel structures you expect in a city.

Without the condos, I'd have thought you were on the road!

The thing I like most about these fences is how easy it is to climb over :-)

Nice shot with the condo building in the background. Otherwise, it could be a rural scene.

Oh, I like that your city is encouraging some rural encroachment.

I like the way it blends in with the surrounding area.

Great fence. I like the country look and it appears to be a great way to keep vegetation under control.

If it weren't for the buildings I would think it was a rural setting.

It seems to fit the natural are for which it is a boundary.

Looks like a little spot of country in the big city! I'm glad my Tarpon springs post brought back some good memories. We fly your country's flag here at our resort too right along with our own! Come on down next winter, ;)))
