Fins

I have always liked the facade of this building, the Gerald Larkin academic building, at Trinity College at U of Toronto. Winter is a good time to see the 3-storey high limestone fins that line this south side of the building before the leaves on the trees come out. I have shown you the arcade which they enclose before (click here).

The CDP theme for May is "Squares".

It is a nice looking building. Those trees look interesting too. I see you also have a nice blue sky!

The fins go the other way on our building, shades you from the sun

Those "fins" really do add interest to the building.

A building that points to a certain era but pleasing in its way.

I'm a great fan of these lines in buildings. Straight and simple looking.

This looks very 60s-ish. The fins provide interest and light/dark that many buildings from the same time period do not.

It looks like alot of the buildings built in the 70's.

I remember your first shot so clearly, hard to believe it was over half a year ago!

I didn't know they were called "fins." I like learning something new.

It does look good from the outside, but I love the other shot looking down the passage way inside. Sorry to hear that you're still having so much rain Pat, we had a few showers then nothing, bit more over the weekend hopefully.
