Tiny Church

This tiny church, which has had a few additions over the years, was a country church when first built. Now it is surrounded by homes right in the city. Built as a Church Of Christ in the 1900s, it continues as one with two congregations using it - one English-speaking and one Spanish-speaking.

Just tucked away, I wonder how long it can hang in before some greedy builder wants to tear it down?

Not our usual church, but this building surely has a story!

I can certainly see how the city has grown up around it.

It certainly does look small.

Sweet little church that looks a bit like something out of Little House on the Prairie!

I wouldn't be surprised if a developer hasn't already made an offer.

It's really holding it's ground around the more modern buildings...

My eyes popped when I read it is a church. It does not resemble one at all.

i am guessing it use to be a house? maybe? ( :

Was it just a house at one time, I wonder. Sure looks it. Pretty simple dwelling design.

It's darling, and I'm happy they haven't torn it down. I like the little tower, I wonder if it's a lookout or just windows?

It has always been a church, just a lot smaller at the beginning!

Grace from Perth also showed a small church that was once in the country and now is surrounded by city. I guess it is good that they survived, but part of me is sad about the change.

I think I could have walked or driven passed this without realizing it's a church. Maybe the parking lot would have clued me in. :)
