Car Dealership

This cool Neo-Gothic building was built in 1925 for General Motors as the McLaughlin Motor Company Showroom and it continued to be a car showroom until 2007. It has heritage designation so the structure itself has become a restaurant with a condo building rising from the former parking lot.

What a great looking building. Well worth heritage status.

This reminds me of an auto showroom in Paris...I think it was for Porsche cars. In both cases the buildings are very special. I'm guessing this is one swanky restaurant!

A very interesting building, but not exactly the place we would expect to find a car dealership!

These old showroom buildings often have more than a touch of visual opulence. Our local Cadillac showroom was preserved and became a Whole Foods store.

I imagine the restaurant in this lovely building would be quite atmospheric.

That is a very impressive building for a car dealership. My Dad's car dealerships didn't look anything like this. A restaurant is a perfect use of the space. Glad to know the building is being preserved.

Nandos are popping up everywhere! Although this has to be one of their grander entrances... Best Wishes for 2016.

It looks great. When old facades began to be turned into shells in front of tall glass towers, I was a bit negative, but these days I accept that is better than nothing.
