Towers

This little parkette in the foreground is being constructed on the site of the old Women's College Hospital and those arches are supporting a few of the old sculpted windows from the original building. The large building on the left is the new hospital and the other buildings are condos and office towers in the financial district. I have to go back when the park is finished for some shots but I like that they are retaining a bit of the history of the site.

That is a very metropolitan looking area. I like the preservation part of this too.

What a variety of architecture. Not sure what to think of the parkette idea... there's so little greenspace in a city already, and a few square metres seems like a trifling afterthought.

Well, to retain anything of the past is a pretty good feat these days.

I like it that they are retaining some of the old architecture and thus some of the history there.

I really like this composition - and that blue sky hovering behind and around the tall building! Nice wee park, too.

The last time I was there the old building was being demolished. Things are looking up.
