Horror At The Casa

Casa Loma has a special event going on through the month of October called "Legends of Horror" which involves a self-guided tour through the 5 acre gardens and then into dark chambers beneath the castle itself. Looking through these gates I could see various ghoulish vignettes which had been set up along the path. I don't think I will be taking the tour!

Halloween sure has become a BIG deal these days.

I must be getting old but I don't understand any of this nor do I understand zombie movies ... Halloween is crazy. Our neighborhood has gotten the reputation of handing out the best candy. So on Halloween night, we have hundreds of cars and more people dragging kids in costume from house to house begging for candy and most all of them live in other parts of town or maybe in other parts of the state for all I know. Aargh!

Oh, go for it!

There's a historical village here in the east end that's doing a Hallowe'en theme late in the month.

Too scary for me!

I just not interested these days for something like this. I wonder what kind of surprises lurk down below.

I am sure this is going to be a fun event! I'd go if I was there. :)

I think I'd go. Come along, Pat, I'll hold your hand if you get really scared!

I haven't liked Halloween since I was a kid, and I don't enjoy places like that. My youngest would call me a fuddy-duddy. But I know that the age of kids I taught my last 19 years (1st grade) that only Christmas beats out Halloween, and the 3rd favorite "holiday" was Valentine's Day. :)

I have always liked Halloween. As a kid I got to collect more candy than I could eat in a week. Now I enjoy giving candy out to the neighborhood kids. They are often young, and a bit shy when they ring the bell. I have never thought of Casa Loma as filled with Horror. Interesting.

That sounds a bit different. We don't have anything like this in my area, but I'd probably go if we did.

I don't think my Pacemaker could handle it!

I guess I am jaded. I would rather tour in full daylight.

Very nice fence and gate. I am not big on Halloween, especially things that might be scary.

Several places around here have horror events in October, too. I guess it is a way to get some visitors and some admission money.

Nicely done. I love the old iron gates like this but I am not a big fan of Halloween and spooky stuff.

Cool looking gate. I love Halloween but I don't like being "scared" by super gory stuff.
