This building on Bathurst St was built in 1888 as a Methodist church and continued as one until the 1950s when parts of the building were rented out for concerts and events as the congregation was shrinking. In 1985 the whole structure became a permanent theatre which is now called the Randolph Theatre. There is one main space as well as smaller ones used for practice studios and smaller productions. The Gothic Revival building has heritage protection so the exterior will remain as is.

Great building to preserve.
It's one of those beautiful old buildings that should be preserved. And I'm glad to see that the drama continues but in a different way!
I'm just glad they didn't demolish the building!
That seems like a good second use for this beautiful building.
A rebirth of a very nice looking building.
There are too many was onece a church buildings around now but at least this one is still in use which is a good thing
A solid building !Its preservation is a good idea!
It's a beauty!
At least that is a creative use for the building. So many here similar end up as carpet warehouses and the like!
There's a theatre in there... I'm impressed.
Seems like a good use for the old building, although I don't like the theater name over the front doors. Seems to me the banners would have been more than sufficient.
A wonderful use for this church. We have one similar and it was turned into a library.
looks very busy. i enjoy the details ... the curly-q ... very cool! ( ;
Toronto seems to have a great many former churches that have been repurposed into very different kinds of uses.
It is a beautiful building and I'm glad to hear it is being used for something as wonderful as a theatre. I love the windows!
I'm glad they found a good use for the building.
Beautiful building.
Handsome building!
