Byzantine Cathedral

This is the Byzantine Cathedral of the Nativity Of The Mother Of God Catholic church found on Shaw St. I have never found it open but have the feeling that the interior is probably beautiful judging by the ornate doors.

Yes, the doors definitely are quite beautiful. I am also struck by the perfect symmetry of the exterior.

Those doors are gorgeous. I bet the inside is very gilded.

I think you are definitely right Pat, it's so beautifully adorned on the outside it seems impossible that it wouldn't be wonderful on the inside 😊

You wouldn't see any Catholic church looking like that down here...but it has a certain charm for sure!

The architecture is quite striking. It reminds me of a building here that I think is home to the Seventh Day Adventists sect today.
