While I was watching the snow falling in yesterday's pic there were four male Cardinals flitting about in the trees and this one landed in the tree just beyond the light standard pole in yesterday's pic. The males seem to be intensely red right now so maybe they are gearing up for spring!

Beautiful!
There is something especially charming about a Cardinal in the snow!
Really fine bird! Annoying when these birds here are so colorless!
How wonderful Pat, the Cardinals are such an amazing colour, in the snow.. magic!
Lovey colouring to see at this time of year.
What a beauty. I wish I saw more of these guys here.
Hello,
The male Cardinal do look so pretty in the snow. Their color just pops!
Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your day! Have a happy weekend!
I heard one spring call , maybe a practice by a youngster
...red and white, a winning combination.
Amazing bird!
When I move to my new house I am putting in bird feeders.
Put sunflower or safflower seeds in your feeder. Black Sunflower seeds are a favorite of cardinals. ...
Stopping by for Saturday's Critters.

A deep rich red!
Quite lovely, and of course you wouldn't miss a red moment! Either did my mother. I have to laugh at how many red purses she owned!
A good perch for it!
Nice sighting, a red cardinal with snow in the trees. Great capture, Pat!
It sure looks pretty...like a Christmas card! Enjoy your weekend!
He is most handsome. Lovely photo.
Perfect shot! We don't get cardinals here. I had to go down to Arizona one spring to see my first.
Pretty! I love seeing cardinals... except when they attack my car mirrors.
Looks like a piece of the tropics in the snow. What a jewel.
We have just one, since early winter. I think his partner either left or was killed (we found one female on the road, ded). Then, he was feeding the baby by himself. The young 'un has disappeared, too!
A Cardinal in the snow, just lovely.
All the best Jan
Se ve muy bien estre la nieve blanca.
Besos.
I see cardinals all the time up north, and I have begun seeing them more often down here.
