Charming Victorians
This row of semi-detached Victorian homes is found on McPherson Ave in what is probably the north part of the Yorkville neighbourhood. This is an area where every old home has been restored and renovated, some painted but most having had the bricks tuckpointed and cleaned to reveal the beautiful craftsmanship. It is interesting to see the one painted beauty in the middle of this group. These places will set you back a few million $$ in our crazy real estate market. I'll show you another pic from further down the block tomorrow.

Lovely place.
These are beauties.
They really are beautiful places but, that painted one really sort of sticks out. I much prefer the brick.
Those homes are absolutely beautiful.
So similar to the West Philadelphia of my youth. Yes, affordable housing then, premium today!
Beautiful, though not sure about the painted one in the middle.
What fine older houses in your photos. The Victorians did leave great looking dwellings.
They look so beautifully restored Pat, I don't even mind the painted one, I've never been keen on things matching totally 😉
They are lovely, even the painted one.
The painted house by itself would probably be fine but its neighbors make it seem pretty pedestrian. Urban real estate prices sure can be jaw-dropping.
Lovely housing. I like it.
I imagine the people living in these houses as all being especially tall and thin. :-)
Hello,
They are beautiful. Lovely row of homes. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy weekend.
A very nice row of houses, I think I prefer the brick ones.
All the best Jan
They are most charming. And to answer your question from tomorrow (a time warp, eh?), I like the bare brick better than painted.
In a world of differences! Their one house will be easy to find!
